I can't take credit for this one, but it's funny enough to share.
Check out step 19. Better still is step 20. Slight right. Mmmm hmm.
A place to babble endlessly about the mundane ongoings of my life the center of which are... hockey, dogs, and cake.

I have never been so proud of myself. To sit so near and feel nothing but smug. "Elle est tres belle, mais pas trop intelligente" - indeed. I heard all I needed to hear. To be called out by others troubles me a little, but I had a fun evening and damn I feel good. It isn't like the world doesn't already know anyhow. But it's funny to think they are asking why it hasn't happened too. Poor poor boy.
I do think I managed to purchase the arrow-cock package however this evening. Whatever that means... Mark! Naughty naughty boy!

I got up on time today and showered, I could have easily headed into work but decided to call off and work on some of my school work. Things are slightly slower at work than normal, so, for one I didn't feel too guilty. I caught an extra couple of hours of sleep too - can't blame me, can you?
The weather was gorgeous earlier today, big fluffy clouds and bright blue skys, the sun(!), great temperatures, truly a nice day. I even opened the windows and let the fresh smell of the outdoors waft through while I sat down at the computer. The Chiefs even kicked some ass at an early morning game in Cincinnati 3-1! Of course, all good things must come to an end, and they're usually rather abrupt in Johnstown. That said, the storms rolled in with rain coming down sideways through the back door. So much for chasing Vixen around the yard later, but at least it makes it easier to focus on the real reason why I'm sitting at home. Perhaps it is time for a cup of coffee.

I was a pretty busy girl this weekend. While we had a good bit of rain, the sun also came out and warmed things up pretty nicely on Sunday. I even wore clam-digger length pants to the game!
Friday I had a nice evening out for dinner and a movie. I was pleasantly surprised with Premonition. It went in a slightly different direction than I could have anticipated, but I liked the movie. Yes, I had a date. How strange is that?
Saturday the Slips came in, so of course there was shopping to do and hanging out as well as eating out a little more. The boys spent most of the weekend on the road so at least my schedule was open. They did lose Sunday, but Roche scored the two goals so - cheers for him. Here's to another busy week!

Road trip! We had a great day to head to Hershey and who doesn't want to leave work when the sun is shining? (Note: The sun only shines in Johnstown about 10 days a year.) The Falcons lost, but at least we got to see Boots play again, and JFPL got to see Adam. The grub at the Bears Den was pretty darn good. You've got to love the ambiance of a place that is all about hockey (including the floor looking like an ice surface) and focuses on some of the chocolate fare that Hershey is well known for.
I'm a little sleepy today, but hanging in there. Dorian Gray started right up yesterday so she made her way to the dealership to get inspected today. Spring is here my friends!

Fuzzy butt's been gone for a year. The giant ass has been gone for four. How time flies. The odd part was someone I didn't know at the game this past weekend saying "I hear you just lost your dog, mine just past away." It really threw me - first how did this guy know and second, it's been a year.
I don't know if I'm getting sick or if it's the meds for the headaches that are making me feel a bit off the past day or so. My head doesn't hurt but I'm a bit lightheaded and my scalp keeps tingling. It's the goofiest thing. I got a nap in last night after work and did a little bit of work before returning to bed for the night. Hopefully if I am working on a cold that will help knock it out faster. With my calendar for the next few weeks I can't afford to get sick.

Now that it has happened more than once, it's time to start a list. You see, on my employer's internal website there is an ads listing where we can post things we have for sale or are looking to buy etc etc. This is where I am going to record the very strange listings I encounter there. If it makes me laugh I'm adding it. Enjoy.
1. Half eaten hot fudge sundae from McDonalds available in freezer. Still has some nuts!
2. Needed - chicken costume. (At least they denoted that they knew how strange of a request it was.)

My hatred for Walmart and Circuit Schity has been put to the test. Do I go to Walmart to buy a CD knowing full well that they censor and are a royal mess to navigate. Hells no. So where else do I buy a CD in this god-forsaken town? I check the Schity's website and Type O Negative's album Dead Again (set for release tomorrow) is listed at $8.99. After a arduous telephone call I discover that yes in fact the price onsite tomorrow will be the same and that the moron girl who didn't know how to answer the phone has NO clue who Type O Negative is.
The price most definitely counteracts my loathing of the Schity. Now let's see if I, and all involved salespeople, make it out of there alive tomorrow. I'll swing in after the doctor appointment with Physician's Assistant Hottie to get my copy. Not too shabby of plans for a Tuesday.

Misconduct? Are you kidding me?
Told you it was my jersey. There is one other guy I knew with blue-gray eyes, and I know what it meant when his eyes were that green. As to the question from a stranger I wish I could lie and make things as I would chose to answer, but to think someone could make that mistake is okay with me.

It was an enlightening day. When I start to come up to speed on a new project there is always a few ah-ha moments. I had one realization today that gave me direction for where I need to go moving forward and another realization that made me realize there isn't enough time to effect the necessary change. So do I allow the next weeks to trudge on as they've been or see what can be salvaged for a nice round out at the end of the effort?
Next bullet point - Ahh high school. I guess it was a repeating theme for the evening. I got home to a booklet of class rings for UMUC. I never bought a Pitt class ring so I sure don't want one from there. Speaking of high school... so there we are after the game at Denny's because, well, because I wanted a shake damnit. As we're finishing up a pack of high school boys gets seated next to us. I kid you not, the tail end of the conversation went like so:
"So what is a rhombus anyway, is that like where all the angles are the same or the sides are the same?"
"A rhombus is like a square and a diamond did it and a rhombus came out."
Three cheers for our education system.
Speaking of Cheers, how about the Chiefs finishing the Nailers 5-2. Tarabrin left the evening with four points... we need more of that for the rest of the weekend. Oh, and the Jets jerseys, bad ass, I like. Glad mine is out there getting worn.

They ARE bringing back the Dodge Avenger! I am not entirely sold on the look just yet, not when next to one of the Chargers or Magnum, but... cute - cute! The price staying so low could definitely help it grow on me by the time they've been out for a few years and I'm ready for new wheels.

Fish fry last night. Blah. Gee thanks for that invite mom. Next time let's stick to sushi if you're banishing me based upon your religious convictions that ban certain meats for certain days. But I did see my old 5th grade teacher. I can't believe he recognized me and knew my name.
A good chunk of my class has finished their first exam now and things are going smoothly. I managed to get myself down to B&N between exams today to pick up a few books. Of course they didn't have ANYTHING on radar or the other topics I was there to look for. I guess there isn't much of a market for such level books in this area, thus the huge puzzles and travel sections here.

I'm home. At last. I got into PAX at midnight last night and lucked out to have an upgraded room with a jacuzzi tub. Needless to say, I didn't really care what time it was and filled the sucker up. Ahhhh. I slept well as I always do in hotels and rolled into the late morning meeting. Now, once again after midnight, I am back home. At least my Vixie is happy to see me. I think it's time to get a little extra sleep.
At least I didn't manage to contract some freakish disease while on travel just to weasel out of a week's worth of work. Hawaii is SUCH the third world country. To the list of oddities while on travel to my less dangerous location:
- A building in full blaze on the way home
- The creepy guy eyeballing me at CVS to D and V's delight
- The school bus parked in front of "Mary's", which clearly looked like a strip club.
- The grub at Vera's White Sands ... since the Tiki isn't open yet this year the Sands' grub definitely made due
