It's amazing how big of a smile good ol' 80's garb and tunes was able to put on my face in just a few hours time. Now back to reality: papers, press releases, testing, you know, all of that fun stuff.
lists lists lists... too much to do. Yes, I have officially overtasked myself.
Tell me what's wrong with this picture. We headed to Reading today for a game... when we met the bus this morning it was a bit brisk, not awful, but a coat was wise. When we crawled off of the bus in Reading it was balmy and wonderful. Granted, while we were inside hail the size of golf balls was smacking the arena silly, but that's neither here nor there. When we get back into Jingletown? Snow. Friggin SNOW on the windshield. F.

I'm bushed... and the weekend of go go go just started! Show number two down, went well, thinking we can get my hostess to her 10 orders and 2 bookings. Number three tomorrow - the final peg in me kicking the first five weeks in the ass. Gratefully, because my Beff has been kicking butt and taking names too I know we're golden.

I gave up on my original game plan for a big mother's day extravaganza and ended up renting some space in a local hotel's conference rooms to pull this one off. So, it's on! Now to find the time to finish the associated planning. Ok. I'm going to wipe out I've got an early start tomorrow.

The paper is done and submitted as of reasonably late last evening. Now to get myself motivated to finish up my annotated bibliography and final paper. Blah. I am officially sick and tired of writing papers. Unfortunately for me I am stubborn and I signed myself up for 5 more months of this. The end is near!

The weather has reverted back to rain, perfect to keep me at home, but also to keep me from the spring cleaning that was calling not too long ago. Here's hoping for a nice weekend, I sure would feel better about my world if I had a nice spurt of effort outside to make the yard match my bitchin new porch. With the rain and packages getting shipped to my house recently I'm reminded again how great it is to finally have that porch! Hmm. Maybe I should try to get the furniture put together for the porch when that spurt hits.

The weather is trying to get nicer, but it tends to provide a distraction. Be it my desire to go work on cleaning up the yard or just watching the girls lounging in the sun - major distraction when there is a paper due!

It's been a decent weekend so far, a nice evening out and watching a movie on Friday, a good lunch with the clan on Saturday and some good napage. I feel rested and I am making progress on the paper. Today I'm off to the next to last home game of the regular season. Thank goodness for hockey making the winter go fast.

oh. ...and fuck you and the whore you road off on.
I wanted to share this little discussion from work today, because you've probably not thought about it much. Bugs bunny is an a-hole, a major tool, a complete jerk. Just sayin. Never did like him.

I'm a busy little lady this week. Of course, most of it is because I was quite the apt procrastinator last week. If anyone could catch and extra hour of sleep and give it to me?

I'm mopey. I know it's hormonal, but I can't help it. I've been in a great mood (for me) for an extended period of time now, but yesterday and today I've found myself just sad, lamenting, and turning to tears. I miss what I had, and seeing a loving couple/family right up close earlier today didn't help that mood too much.

My first party went smooth enough, sure I forgot one or two little things I should have had in tow, but I made it through and only had a panicy dry mouth for a brief couple of seconds midway through. Sales were good, but I left with no bookings which doesn't bode well for sustainability. Chin up, right?

So there are officially three cruises on my schedule now, granted, one is way out in the fall of 2010, but it's kind of nice to have so many things to look forward to. Last night the small crew took the leap and we scheduled Europe for later this year. Look out Barcelona, Nice, Florence, Rome, Mykonos, Ephesus, Santorini, Athens, and Naples... here we come! This is so going to rock.

Forgot to mention my excitement of finishing my federal taxes earlier this week, the state ones are done too, technically, but not sent out since I owe them money *grr*. I remembered yesterday that I once again did not get local paperwork, so I snagged the electronic form yesterday and cranked those out yesterday. It'll be good to see those few bucks drop into the account - and fly right back out.

More bling arrived Thursday night, but alas my starter kit was the old one. After a brief period of internal panic and irritation I buckled in and coped by ordering the key pieces that I feel I missed out on. I headed out to Wheeling for the Friday and Saturday night games on our bus trip, so I missed out on lots of cleaning time and whatnot, but it was a good trip even if we heard that damned Nailers horn waaaay too often. I'll pass on the McLure house next time... too many things broken or not quite up to standards. Am I just a bit spoiled with slightly nicer hotels? Perhaps, but ... ew.

So it's officially "spring break" for my class, but I need to get my butt in gear this week to get a bit ahead to avoid being behind in a month. Lots on the plate, but nothing super exciting, so do pardon if I have little to say in the weeks to come.

The party bling came last night... wow, I really scored a lot of stuff, and great stuff too. To think that the starter kit is still on the way with more goodies - that should arrive tonight. I've got the gear, now to get practicing on what to say so I don't feel like a fish out of water.

Last night Safyre got to attend the Pups and Pucks night at the Chiefs game and had a blast getting petted and giving out kisses. As to be expected, my beauty girl got lots of compliments and was an absolute angel. She also slept like the dead - bonus!

It's official, well rather, I am. I have my very own account and my goodies are on the way to kick off my very own lia sophia business. I'm actually quite psyched, especially after attending my first division meeting last night. I know this will be a growth experience for me, perhaps that learning and growing will help keep me out of school when I finish up my current certificate program. Ladies, I know not everyone is jewelry jazzed, but if you know someone that is and you refer her to me - well, let's just say I take care of those that take care of me.

Verizon came back on Monday morning and my DSL seems to not only be reliable right now, but faster too. Go figure.

I would say all was right with the world for now if my several stuffed lady bugs hadn't walked off from work on their own accord. The search for the bug stealer continues.
