Looks like it was a bad weekend for hockey players and their faces. Ouch. Yzerman, the captain of the wings is out with a broken eye socket *OUCH*. Then this morning I get the comment from a coworker "hey did you see that Cleveland Baron's player getting hit in the face w/ a stick". Greeeeat. Not that it's okay because it wasn't one of our Chiefs up there, but at least I was slightly relieved when I got to the site. Wow. That was a hit, and it sent Stafford to the hospital after seizing on the ice.

Time to suck it up guys and start wearing the helmets WITH the wrap around style visors. Then again, even those don't stop everything.

I guess I need to be watching ESPN tonight at 10 in the hopes that the Flames can finish the Wings. Tomorrow I'll definitely be focusing on the Avs game. Gotta get my fill before I go vacationing.
